Custom Landing Page for AI tool startups: The QA Founder Playbook for a mobile founder blocked by release and review work.
You are not 'just' missing a landing page. You are a mobile founder with a release blocked, review work piling up, and no clean place to send traffic...
Your real problem
You are not "just" missing a landing page. You are a mobile founder with a release blocked, review work piling up, and no clean place to send traffic while the app side is still unstable.
If you keep waiting, the business cost is simple: wasted ad spend, slower waitlist growth, weaker investor demos, more support questions, and a launch that feels delayed even when the product is technically "almost done." For AI tool startups, that usually means losing the first wave of demand to a competitor with a clearer page and faster follow-up.
What This Sprint Actually Fixes
My Custom Landing Page service is a fast, conversion-focused page built from scratch, not a generic template. It is for founders who need something that looks credible, loads fast, explains the product clearly, and captures leads while the mobile app or release process is still being cleaned up.
I build it so it can do real business work:
- Explain the AI tool in plain language.
- Show features without making people read too much.
- Add social proof, pricing, objection handling, and strong CTAs.
- Capture waitlist signups or leads.
- Deploy on Next.js or clean HTML/CSS.
- Put it live on Vercel with your custom domain and Cloudflare.
- Connect analytics, heatmaps, email provider, SEO metadata, sitemap, structured data, and mobile responsiveness.
For founders coming from Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, v0, Framer, Webflow, or GoHighLevel, this is usually the point where I stop the "good enough" prototype from costing you actual revenue. A page that looks fine in preview but fails on mobile speed or tracking is not launch-ready.
The Production Risks I Look For
When I audit a founder-built landing page or replace it with one I build properly, I look for risks that hurt conversion or create launch friction.
1. Broken mobile layout
- If buttons overlap text or sections jump around on smaller screens, your paid traffic leaks immediately.
- I test on real phone widths because most AI startup traffic now comes from mobile first impressions.
2. Slow load time
- If your LCP is above 2.5 seconds or your CLS is unstable, users bounce before they understand the offer.
- Third-party scripts often make this worse than founders expect.
3. Weak CTA flow
- Many pages have one CTA buried below too much explanation.
- I want one primary action per page and one backup action for hesitant visitors.
4. Missing trust signals
- AI tools need more proof than generic SaaS because users are cautious about data quality and privacy.
- If there is no social proof, no clear outcome statement, and no objection handling, conversion drops.
5. Bad tracking setup
- If analytics and heatmaps are not installed correctly, you cannot tell whether visitors are dropping off at hero copy, pricing, or form completion.
- That means you keep guessing instead of fixing the real issue.
6. SEO and share preview failures
- Missing metadata, sitemap issues, bad Open Graph tags, or missing structured data make your launch harder to distribute.
- This matters when founders rely on X posts, LinkedIn sharing, Product Hunt traffic, or cold outreach links.
7. Security and form abuse
- Lead forms without rate limits or basic validation can get spammed.
- If you collect emails for waitlists or demo requests without proper handling of secrets and provider keys, you create avoidable risk.
The Sprint Plan
Day 1: Audit and message structure I review your current prototype if you have one in Lovable, Bolt, Cursor output files from v0. I map the core user journey:
- What problem does the AI tool solve?
- Who is it for?
- Why now?
- Why should someone trust it?
I also check for QA issues that affect conversion:
- Mobile breakpoints.
- Form behavior.
- Broken links.
- Missing tracking events.
- Slow assets.
- Unclear CTA hierarchy.
By the end of day 1, I have a content outline and page structure that matches your actual funnel goal.
Day 2: Design and build I turn the outline into a high-converting landing page in Next.js or HTML/CSS depending on what makes deployment fastest and safest for your stack.
I build these sections if they fit the offer:
- Hero with clear outcome statement.
- Features with benefit-first copy.
- Social proof block.
- Pricing section or lead capture section.
- Objection handling.
- Final CTA block.
If you already have brand assets from Framer or Webflow work-in-progress files, I will use them only if they help conversion. If they slow us down or weaken clarity, I simplify them.
Day 3: QA pass and instrumentation This is where most founder-built pages fail. I check:
- Responsive behavior across common iPhone and Android widths.
- Form submission flow end to end.
- Email provider handoff.
- Analytics events firing correctly.
- Heatmap script placement without harming performance.
- Metadata rendering for search and social previews.
- Structured data validity.
I also review Core Web Vitals risk so we do not ship something pretty but slow.
Day 4: Deployment and domain setup I deploy to Vercel if we are using Next.js. I connect Cloudflare if needed for DNS control and protection basics.
Then I verify:
- SSL works correctly.
- Custom domain resolves properly.
- Redirects are clean.
- Sitemap is reachable.
- Indexing settings are sane.
- Forms send to the right inbox or CRM.
Day 5: Handover and cleanup I hand over documentation so you know what was built and how to change it later without breaking tracking or layout.
If there is extra time in scope, I will tighten copy based on what QA found during testing rather than leaving you with an untested "launch ready" label that means nothing in production.
What You Get at Handover
You do not get just a file dump. You get a working acquisition asset with enough operational detail to run paid traffic or launch campaigns without immediate rework.
Deliverables include:
- A custom landing page built from scratch in Next.js or HTML/CSS.
- Mobile responsive layouts tested against common breakpoints.
- Vercel deployment live on your custom domain.
- Cloudflare DNS setup where applicable.
- Waitlist form or lead capture flow connected to your email provider.
- Analytics installed with key event tracking configured.
- Heatmaps added without wrecking performance targets.
- Core Web Vitals checked with attention to LCP under 2.5 seconds where feasible for typical marketing content pages.
- SEO metadata including title tags and descriptions.
- Sitemap.xml and structured data where relevant for discovery and sharing clarity.
- Basic QA notes covering forms, CTAs, links, previews, and device checks.
If needed, I also give you a simple change log so future edits do not accidentally break conversion tracking or layout integrity.
When You Should Not Buy This
Do not buy this sprint if any of these are true:
| Situation | Better move | | --- | --- | | Your offer is still unclear | Fix positioning first | | Your product changes every day | Wait until scope settles | | You need full brand strategy | Hire brand work separately | | You want complex app logic on the landing page | Build product flows first | | You have no email provider yet | Set up basic infrastructure first | | You need multi-language localization immediately | Scope that as phase two |
The honest DIY alternative is simple: use one strong template in Webflow or Framer only if you can keep it minimal. Write one hero message focused on outcome plus one CTA plus one proof block. Then test it on mobile before paying for ads.
do not try to squeeze in custom design plus automation plus analytics plus SEO plus deployment all at once. That usually creates an unfinished page with hidden bugs instead of an asset that converts.
Founder Decision Checklist
Answer yes or no before you book anything:
1. Do I need a live landing page within 5 days? 2. Is my current prototype too weak for paid traffic? 3. Am I blocked by app release or review work? 4. Do visitors currently have nowhere clear to sign up? 5. Is my mobile layout untested on real devices? 6. Do I know which CTA matters most right now? 7. Is my analytics setup either missing or unreliable? 8. Do I need Cloudflare plus Vercel deployment handled cleanly? 9. Would better messaging likely improve conversion faster than more features? 10. Can I describe my AI tool in one sentence without jargon?
If you answered yes to 4 or more, you probably need this sprint more than another week of tinkering inside Lovable or Cursor trying to make everything perfect before launch.
